Re-reading Summer

I have made myself some goals this summer. Since I have a lot of series I wanna re-read. I have now dedicated my whole summer to re-reading. More or less.
So during June, July and August I will focus on some of the books I have already read before and loved :P
Though I don´t really have summer vacation I don´t know how much I will be able to read, but I am really going to do my best to get to read all of these books :P Hugh goals this year :P

All of the Harry Potter books in English - Written by J.K Rowling
- Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone
- Harry Potter and the Secret Chamber
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
- Harry Potter and the Order of Phonix
- Harry Potter and the Half blood Prince
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow

maybe also these small extra books: (which I haven´t read before)
- The Tales of Beedle and Bard
- Fantastic beasts and where to find them
- Quidditch through the ages

All the books in Black Dagger Brotherhood series in Norwegian - Written by J.R Ward
- Dark Lover
- Lover Eternal
- Lover Awakened
- Lover Revealed
- Lover Unbound
- Lover Enshrined
- Lover Avenged (never read before)
- Lover Mine (never read before)
And the 9th book aren´t out in Norwegian yet. So that one I am waiting to read, later on.

- The Golden Compass
- The Subtle Knife
- The Amber Spyglass

The Twilight saga in English - Written by Stephenie Meyer
- Twilight
- New Moon
- Eclipse

More or less as you can see I have read all of them before. And ofcourse loved them :P Since I wanna read them again.
I will do my best to read them all. But probably won´t get the time. But I will at least try :P

So please help me out by choosing which series to read first. By voting in my new poll. Which I will be putting up tomorrow :) When the old one has finished :D

Have you read any of these books? ( I hope so :P For your sake :P) What did you think? Which are your favourite?
Wanna join me in a re-reading summer. Then what would you wanna re-read?
And If you got any good suggestions to other series I can begin reading. Feel free to share it :D Always looking for good ideas, there are so many amazing books out there ;)

Do you have any special reading plans for your summer? I would love to know :D

Curious: Crossed by Ally Condie

Crossed by Ally Condie

In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky — taken by the Society to his certain death — only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.

Cassia’s quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander — who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia’s heart — change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.
From Goodreads

I finished the first book in this trilogy in the beginning of this year. The book is called Matched. And I thought it was awesome, rated it 6 out of 6 stars :) So you can just imagine how excited I am about Crossed, the sequel who are being released 1th November 2011.

Have you read any of these.? And what did you think?
Are you super excited just like me :P

Mercy by Rebecca Lim

Miss Fellows snorts. "If she ever gets going! I shouldn´t have let you talk me into it, Ellen. She didn´t even try to sing. It´s like she´s had a personality bypass since we got here, and she didn´t have that much to begin with..."

Review: Cinderella: Ninja Warrior by Maureen McGowan

Cinderella: Ninja Warrior
by Maureen McGowan

The Book:
This is the first book of the Twisted Tales series written by Maureen McGowan. The second book is called Sleeping Beauty: Vampire Slayer. Which I already reviewed her on the blog :) So go check it out.
Both books were given to me by Baker and Publishing Group, through Netgalley.
They are a series, but both books are different stories. So you don´t need to read number 1 and then number 2 :) They are just modern re-tellings with a twist, from the original fairytales :)

ISBN13: 9781607102557
320 pages

Read: April 2011
Language: English

Summary: (from Goodreads)
In this fast-paced story full of adventure and romance, Cinderella is more than just a servant girl waiting for her prince—she's a tough, fearless girl who is capable of taking charge of a dangerous situation. Seeking to escape the clutches of her evil stepmother, Cinderella perfects her ninja skills and magic talents in secret, waiting for the day when she can break free and live happily ever after. In a special twist, readers have the opportunity to make key decisions for Cinderella and decide where she goes next—but no matter the choice; the result is a story unlike any fairy tale you've ever read!

The Story:
Is about Cinderella living with her stepmother and stepsister. Which hold her as a prisoner in her own home. After her real parents both is dead. Though she is more then a servant girl in her own home. One day she gets a visit by a young man called Ty who becomes her friend. One day he asks her to enter a wizard competition, where she can win the opportunity to be trained by the royal wizard. Though her family must not now about it, since she is being held prisoner. She has to find a way out. And a way to enter the competition. She only know a little magic, since she´s been training in secret. But things are not as easy as it sounds like, when you are under a spell.. A spell which would turn herself and the one she explains the spell to, will both turn into stone. So how will she get out of this mess, so she can live her own life, without lying. Specially to the boy she likes :)

My opinion:
I liked this book as much as I loved the other re-telling by the same author.
I was entertained the whole way through. And it was typical fairytale story with happy ending etc. though with a twist of humor. And as the other you can choose some of the plot yourself. Because after every chapter you have to choose between two options of what to happen next. Which I think is pretty funny :P And makes you keep reading :P
Therefor I choose to rate this book 5 out of 6 stars

So if your looking for some entertaining and enjoy the classic fairy-tales, this might be a fun twist to read :D Which you should check out..

Though I have to say. I do not get why they call it Ninja Warrior. A more suitable title would be something about wizard apprentice or something like that.. I just got annoyd everytime I read the word ninja, because it just didn´t fit in. hehe

Question? Bookdepresion

I just found **Paranormally Romanced** Just wondering wednesday meme. And think it was a pretty good idea :) So her is this weeks question:

So I was wondering what's the last book that has left you in a book depression?

I have to say Evermore by Alyson Nöel. I am so sorry. Most other people loved this series. And I was just super excited about it. And since everyone else loved it. I bought the 4 first books of the series. I read the first one and was like. What!, was that it. And more than once, actually many times while I read it I was like. Should I just stop, hell now it has to be better since everyone else loves it. But fortunately this was just not the book for me. So now I got the rest of the series. Praying they get better, but just let me say. They are not really jumping first in line of my TBR list. Thats for sure..

What´s your book depression? Go over and add your link to Melissas mr.Linky. And feel free to share your opinion in a comment :)

Curious: Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer

Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer

This thrilling sequel to the much-talked-about Nightshade begins just where it ended-Calla Tor wakes up in the lair of the Searchers, her sworn enemy, and she's certain her days are numbered. But then the Searchers make her an offer-one that gives her the chance to destroy her former masters and save the pack-and the man-she left behind. Is Ren worth the price of her freedom? And will Shay stand by her side no matter what? Now in control of her own destiny, Calla must decide which battles are worth fighting and how many trials true love can endure and still survive.

From Goodreads

I am really curious on this one, since I just finished the first book of this trilogy. The first book was called Nightshade and was released 19th October 2010. I rated it 5 out of 6 stars. So I am just jumping around while waiting for the sequel Wolfsbane, which is being released 26th July 2011.

Have you read any of these, and what did you think?
Are you super excited like me :)

Review: Sleeping Beauty: Vampire Slayer by Maureen McGowan

Sleeping Beauty: Vampire Slayer
by Maureen McGowan

The Book:
Sleeping Beauty: Vampire Slayer is the second book in Twisted Tales written by Maureen McGowan. Though you don´t need to read the first book first, since they are two different stories. I read this one first and it´s book number 2 :P
The first book is called Cinderella: Ninja Warrior.

ISBN13: 9781607102564
320 pages

Read: April 2011
Language: English

Source:
I got this book from Baker and Taylor Publishing Group, through Netgalley.

Summary: (from Goodreads)
In this thrilling story full of adventure and romance, Sleeping Beauty is more than just a lonely princess waiting for her prince—she's a brave, tenacious girl who never backs down from a challenge. With vampire-slaying talents that she practices in secret, Sleeping Beauty puts her courage to the test in the dark of night, fighting evil as she searches for a way to break the spell that has cut her off from her family. In a special twist, readers have the opportunity to make key decisions for Sleeping Beauty and decide where she goes next—but no matter the choice; the result is a story unlike any fairy tale you've ever read!
Sleeping Beauty: Vampire Slayer is an entirely new type of fairy tale–one that will keep today's kids guessing and offer them hours of magical fun.

The Story:
This story is a retelling of Sleeping Beauty. Though it also made me think of snow white while I read it. But it has nothing to do with the story :P
Soo... The story starts out as the fairytale we all know. A little girl who gets cursed. And the curse starts when she prick her finger. At age 16. The curse makes her sleep during the whole day and walk the city at night. The curse also effects the whole city who falls asleep during the whole night. So the princess is the only one to walk the city at night.
Unless she gets visits from vampires seeking to drink blood from humans.
As said this is a retelling, including vampires. The princess get allies and try to survive and save her people from the vampires. While trying to get cured from the curse. Which can only be done if she meets her one true love. But how, when everyone is sleeping?
Will she make it? And can she stop the vampires from invading etc.

My Opinion:
I really enjoyed this book :) It was super exciting and you never knew what would happen. Because when you thought ohh.. this and this will probably happen. Everything took a turn and something different happened.. That was just awesome and super exciting to read. And after every chapter you was able to make some decisions in what should happen. But still you could not see 100% what was coming.
Therefor I choose to rate this book 5 out of 6 stars.

Because it´s a fun and different re-telling of a fairytale :) Where everything could happen :)
Uhh.. and yeah it has a triangle love drama.. Who doesn´t love that :P

A classic tale turned into something new :) And this book is pretty awesome, because after every chapter you get two options to choose between, so you kind of choose which way the story is going. But even though you make some of the choices you turn up surprised about the twists and turns :) So check it out :)

Review: Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Delirium by Lauren Oliver

About the book:
Delirium is a Dystopian book written by Lauren Oliver. And it´s the first book in a trilogy.

Lauren Oliver was known for her first debut novel Before i Fall, which was released in March 2010. And then Delirium was released in February 2011.

Read: March 2011
Language: English

From Goodreads:
Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy. But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love

The Story:
It´s about Lena a young girl who lives in what we would look on as a possible future. Where everything is different. Then there are a lot of rules and they are always being watched.

When they turn 18 years they are suppose to get a cure against the most dangerous sickness, Love. Love can be deadly and therefor they have made a rule that everyone should be cured and matched with a partner, for the futures best. Not with who they have anything in common with. It doesn´t matter. Because when you are cured, you have no worries.

But just weeks before Lena´s long waited cure is coming up, she meets some one. Alex is different, but what is it?
Will she ever get to know him. And what happens when you get cured? So many questions in Lena´s life. Will she figure out what to do. She sure finds out that everything is not always what you are told they are. So what about her future? What will it bring.

My Opinion:
I liked this book. Though I thought it was a bit slow in the beginning. I had to read really far into the book before I started to get into the story and just read without thinking. Keep on reading keep on reading. Though I like the plot and the characters or.. yes and no. I got a little irritated on Lena sometimes, because she just kept saying things who didn´t match into what she had discovered and therefor should have learned and grown to. So she was a bit slow when it came to learning by it all..

But other then that I loved the romance in it, even though it took sometime, to long time, before anything happened. And I loved the twist about Love being a sickness. :) That´s something new to me. And the whole way their community works, make you think a little :)

My Conclusion:
So all in all I liked the book. But I chose to give it 4 out of 6 stars.

Thats because it took to long before I really got into the story and because I got a little annoyed on the main character. And yeah not a hugh fan of the ending. But I am looking forward to read the sequal, because I have no clue about, how the story will continue :P

The sequal will be called Pandemonium and is going to be released February 2012.
