Summary: (From Goodreads)
Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. It's gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie's estranged father--an elusive European warlock--only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it's her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters.
By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect.
As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium, especially her.
My Opinion:
This book was really good :D So fun written, I laughed the whole way through. And I am not exaggerated xD haha It was so fun. All these small comments all the time. And even though it was fun it was still a serious book. You get surprised all the time.
You enjoy following Sophie in her new life, trying to fit in with all the other prodigium. And on her seeking for the truth, why is she still different from the others :S
She has to learn how they live and finds out more about the past of her family.
But secrets is being discovered and she gets involved in way more then she had planed for.
And before she knows it she is involved in a war between prodigiums and The Eye, an evil cult trying to make the end of all prodigiums.
Yeap. Sound like a lot of action etc. It is ;) That´s why I gave this book 5 out of 6 stars
Let´s just say it like this. This book had it all, almost. I can´t put my finger on what was missing.
But something made me choose 5 instead of 6. But anyway. Lots of action. And not to forget cute boys, romance and drama :) We like that. (Or at least I do :P)

Hi, replying to your comment on my blog :)
ReplyDeleteThe tattoo I've been wanting for a long time now is the wheel of fortune from the tarot cards. It sort of means that there will always be ups and downs, it's just a way of life. As for a literary tattoo I really like the words 'stay gold' both from The Outsiders, which I LOVED and the Robert Frost poem, also lovely. What kind of tattoo do you have??
